Local Amateur Astronomers in the group get together on the Saturday night closest to the New Moon for a observing session at our dark site, away from the city lights every month. We encourage the curious or anyone with a interest in Astronomy to join us.

For First Timers
We suggest anyone who wish's to attending a viewing night some of the things you might want or need to bring along:
Insect Repellent
Drinks
Snacks
Torch
Chair
For your torch's please bring some red cellophane or a paper bag and a rubber band, this is to cover your torch with red cellophane, to decrease light pollution
If you do own a set of binoculars or a telescope we encourage you to bring them as well.
Any friends or family that might wish to come.
Please, no barbecues or high powered lights, they cause light pollution and ruin observers night vision.
